While only the beginning of lifelong journeys, the births of Elinor and Tomer are also the culmination of a two-year project (code named “Max”) involving family members, friends, lawyers, nurses and doctors across four states (NY, NH, CT, MA) and Canada...

The couple used the help of Circle Surrogacy in Boston to arrange this complex process. Ron provided the sperm and Barbara, Greg's sister donated the eggs. The babies were conceived through IVF (in-vitro fertilization) at the Brigham and Women Hospital in Boston. A gestational surrogate from NH carried the babies with great courage and sacrifice to full term.

READ the story of how Elinor and Tomer came to the world, as told in a magazine article at the Israeli daily newspaper Yediot Acharonot, on April 6, 2001. The English translation is courtesy of our friend Susan Hendel, who took the time to translate the article from the Hebrew original.
